As we set our hearts and minds this Yearly Meeting to be about Proclaiming the Word to Every Generation, I know God will bless our efforts. Even now, I believe, He is infusing us with an increased awareness that we are His beloved sons and daughters, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ.
Scripture states, “He came unto His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:11-13). No matter our earthly heritage, our successes and failures, our gifts and weaknesses, when we believe in Jesus we are born again. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us so that we, like Jesus, can lovingly call out, “Abba! Father!” We are granted unbridled access to our Father God. We are called to know and do His will, in the power of the Spirit. Being fully convinced of this must be the foundation of all we are and do. There is much to celebrate as we wrap up the 2024-2025 year. Taken from the 2025 Oversight Board Report to the Yearly Meeting. Read the full report below. |
