2004 Summer at Camp Gideon

Every year the effort and time spent at Camp Gideon are rewarded with results for Christ’s Kingdom. Committed conselors spend each week encouraging, teaching, and leading campers. Their prayers, laughter, and planning result in changed lives for both the children and even some parents who attend.

This year, Camp Gideon set an all time attendance record with 538 campers. Campers came from 38 of our Friends churches with a record 16 non-Friends represented. First time commitments to receive Jesus as their personal Savior were made by 28 campers and more than 40 campers registered a commitment to deepen their walk with Christ.

More Than the Lives of Children are
At one of our Father/Son camps, one of the fathers committed himself to change his normal work schedule which included weekly travel out of the state. This father committed to changing his priorities in order to have more time to get involved with his family.

The pastor of the church where this man attends believes that Camp Gideon may have saved the marriage and family of this individual. We do praise God for the great way that He once again moved in the lives of campers.
