Getting to Know Them Better
Our World Outreach Center team is in a little transition this year as we release Duane Rice from his duties to take up the important role of Intentional Interim Pastor for Willoughby Hills (OH) Friends Church for up to a one year period. At the same time, we welcome Pastor Chris Jackson, recently serving as Senior Pastor for Orange Road Friends Church (north of Columbus, Ohio), as our new Eastern Area Superintendent, effective July, 2007.
We’ve asked each of our Superintendents a few questions about their families, interests, reading materials, prayer requests, and other things. A complete list of their answers can be found on the website: ww.efcer.org.
Dr. John & Carol Williams have been married for 40 years , have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. One characteristic John appreciates in his wife is her trustworthiness. His current office car has over 73,000 miles recorded. He has visited four countries recently: Cambodia, India, Thailand, and Hong Kong.
Dr. Wayne and Regina Evans have been married for 28 years and have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. He appreciates Regina’s ability to laugh. “Gina holds it together in highs and lows because the Lord gave her a joyful heart.” Wayne’s car has 128,500 miles and he has spent time with churches in Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Canada this year.
Ken and Sharon Albright have been married the longest (42 years) and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Ken appreciates Sharon’s loving support of his work for the Lord. The odometer on his car reads 28,000 miles and he’s stayed in the United States this year.
Chris and Nancy Jackson have been married for 30 years and have 3 children and 1 grandchild “on the way.” Chris appreciates Nancy’s attention to detail and has not been out of the country this year. His current car has 35,000 miles on it. We can expect that number to grow as he transitions to his new role.
