The Culture:

With a population of over 200 million, Indonesia is the world?s fourth most populous nation. It is the world's largest Muslim nation.

Religions:

• 87% of the people are Muslim.
• Only 7% of the people are Christians.
• Persecution of Christians intensifies when there are political or economic problems.

Friends Work:

• We have 50 churches.
• There are 50,000 villages without a church.
• Pray for the maturity and renewal of our Indonesian churches.
• Pray for missionary teachers to help develop leaders and pray they would be motivating the church to reach out.

Our Missionaries

Charles & Sintje Polimpung

Charles is Field Ministry Superintendent of Indonesia Yearly Meeting. He and his wife, Sintje have 3 children. Charles oversees over 40 churches that are fully registered with the government of Indonesia. There are about 50 pastors and evangelists and a membership of around 2,500. One great asset to the work is the INALTA Bible School in Jakarta on the island of Java.
