Our Guest Speaker
Dr. John P. Williams, Jr., EFC-ER General Superintendent
Dr. John and his wife, Carol, live in North Canton, Ohio. Both are graduates of Malone College and attained graduate degrees from several universities. Dr.John holds a Ph.D. in higher ed. from Iowa State University. John & Carol have six adult children and three grandchildren. Dr. John’s endurance has been tested in many arenas, including living in a household with teenagers for over 30 years consecutively. As a life-long Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers, and Indians fan, his patience is stretched regularly but, he continues to dream.

Who should come?
Full and part time youth pastors and leaders and volunteer youth workers. Anyone who has a heart to minister to youth.
Why should you come?
As a Youth Board, we felt the need to offer a weekend in which all the youth leaders and workers in EFC-ER could participate together in times of worship, instruction, and motivation. Special, unscheduled blocks of time are set apart for individual fellowship, sharing and support. The end result could be a revitalized youth ministry for your church family.
At SOY retreat this year we will be devoting our time to immerse ourselves in God's Word, to learn how to better study God's Word on our own, and also how to better teach this skill to our youth.
John P. Williams, Jr. will be our speaker this year. If you have heard John before you know you are in for a great weekend.
Pete Fowler from Salem First Friends will be leading us in worship. We can expect to have an enjoyable and worshipful time.
This retreat will be a great time to getaway from the rat race life can be and spend time with God, renewing your passion for Him.
There will be time for fellowship with old friends and a chance to meet new friends. Our accommodations include rooms that will be great to hang out with friends. Also there are areas in the lobby to hang out. The hotel also has access to a great health center, which will be available for your enjoyment. The center includes an exercise room, gym, and pool.
Cost
2 person room occupancy, $75/person
3 person room occupancy, $65/person
4 person room occupancy, $50/person
- $25 per person deposit due with registration by February 20th.
- Balance due upon arrival.

- Rooms will be assigned in the order in which the reservations are received.
- When registering please request roommate(s) desired.
