The purpose of the Youth Board is to provide youth ministries with support to strengthen their current programs through training for both paid and unpaid youth workers (Re:Connect), teen leadership training (DC Leadership Intensive), affordable mission opportunities (Aliquippa Adventure) and times of personal growth and fellowship (Friends Youth United.) We also try to make ourselves available to churches that are trying to develop a youth ministry.

Short summary of the purpose and vision
for the Youth Board as described in the Faith & Practice:
This nine member board is committed to finding creative and effective ways to introduce Jesus to the next generation. They recognize the challenges facing youth leaders and sponsors and seek to give support and resource materials as possible. Annually they organize the Re-Connect Youth Sponsor Retreat and the Friends Youth United conference, as well as missions trips. These are provided to unite, inspire and support youth within our Friends Churches as they become disciples of Jesus. Youth Board members have a passion for developing leadership in Friends Youth groups through encouraging youth in building habits of daily devotions, Christian stewardship, and reaching out to others. The Youth Board seeks to create innovative opportunities for teenagers to be involved with the wider denomination, while fostering personal spiritual growth along a sense of pride and commitment toward the Evangelical Friends Denomination.
