Missionaries to China: Part of our Legacy
Friends Missionaries were actively committed to China early in the 1900's, some giving their lives in the process. We want to remember their legacy.

During EFC-ER missionary endeavors to China, there were eleven missionaries or family members of missionaries who died enroute or on the mainland of China. A memorial plaque which lists the names of those who died and were buried in China or at sea has been commissioned and completed.

It will be dedicated during a memorial service Sunday afternoon, 2:00 PM July 18th at the Damascus, Ohio cemetery. The event is planned to coincide with our Yearly Meeting Sessions and Friends from across Eastern Region are encouraged to visit the Damascus cemetery for this special afternoon of thanksgiving and remembrance.

The placque will rest in the DeVol Family Burial Plot in the Damascus Cemetery.

More details and directions to the memorial service will be available at the Registration Table at Malone College during Yearly Meeting.
