Mission Trip by Planes, Motorcycles and RV’s
Quint Bryan, Pastor of Sebring (OH) Friends Church and a team of thirteen Friends met in Arizona to replace a metal roof on the Redeemer Friends Church pastored by Amos and Marie Redhair on the Black Mesa Reservation. Winona (OH) Friends sent tools and support for the trip.
“This trip was our yearly Senior Adult Missions Trip,” explained Quint. “We had a few young people in their 40s and 50s and a couple in their 60s but seven out of the thirteen were over the age of 70. The group traveled on their own and used different forms of transportation to meet at the mission. Some flew, others drove cars or RV’s, and some rode motorcycles. Three out of the four who rode motorcycles all the way from Ohio were over 70 years of age.”
Each day had times of prayer, sharing of meals, fellowship, the apostle’s teachings, and focused work. The group had an amazing servants’ attitude, whether working, attending services, playing tourist, or sharing a meal. It was the New Testament church, Acts 2:42, lived out.
