Dr. John P. Williams, Jr.
Dr. John and his wife, Carol, live in North Canton, Ohio. They are both graduates of Malone University and hold graduate degrees from several universities, with a Ph.D. in higher education from Iowa State University. They have six adult children and six grandchildren. Dr. John was senior pastor of Canton First Friends for ten years prior to becoming General Superintendent in 1989. Dr. Williams has ministered extensively in Central America, Africa, Eastern Europe, India, Nepal, Taiwan, and the Philippines as a representative of both the Eastern Region and the Evangelical Friends Missions. He has a heart for people and a fierce desire to serve the Lord. He wishes to lead a movement that is "Great Commandment Drawn" and "Great Commission Driven."
Florida & Western Area Superintendent
Dr. Wayne ministers in various capacities as an Area Superintendent. He works closely with the pastors and churches in the Western Area (roughly anarea between Battle Creek, MI and Columbus, OH) and in Florida. He also oversees the ministries to our Haitian pastors and churches in the US, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic (He led a small team that founded the ministry in the DR in 2001.). He also serves as Dr. John’s senior associate with general areas of responsibility within the World Outreach Center (WOC) and the Eastern Region. In a related way, he serves as the Treasurer of the Evangelical Friends Church—North American Region (an affiliation of evangelical Yearly Meetings across the US).
The Evans’ (Wayne and Regina) married in 1979 and pastored three churches before coming to serve in the WOC where Regina serves as the Mailings Secretary. They have four children and two grandchildren. Among the schools Dr. Evans attended are Malone University and George Fox Evangelical Seminary. He has taught courses at Malone University, chaired the Board of Education of Heritage Christian School, written commentary for the Adult Friend curriculum, and contributed to books and seminars on the ministry of the Eastern Region. He enjoys travel with Regina, firearms, football, history, and cooking.
Eastern Area Superintendent
Chris Jackson has been married to Nancy for over 30 years. They have three children and one grandchild. Chris serves as our Eastern Area Superintendent. Before moving to serve the Eastern Area, Chris served as a pastor in EFC-ER churches for over 25 years. Chris has assisted in training leaders for EFC-ER mission fields including India, Nepal, and Haiti. He has recently accepted the role of Director for the Southern Area of India where we have over 20 churches, a hospital, children's home, and village ministries.
