It Only Happens Once

We only get one chance.

We get to gather together one time only --- for this focused remembrance.

And it happens this July 21 -24, 2012 on the Malone University campus here in Canton, Ohio, as we celebrate . . .

. . . the 200th anniversary of ministry through our Evangelical Friends Church – Eastern Region.

The name has changed – several times.

Religious Society of Friends.
Ohio Yearly Meeting (OYM).
Evangelical Friends Church - Eastern Region (EFC-ER).

But our calling, the power of God, the presence of Christ and His life-changing Gospel have not changed or diminished one iota.

Our focus will be very much like David’s (in 1 Chronicles 16: 8-9) as he invited God’s people to

“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done. Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.”

You are warmly invited to join in the festivities.

Come be part of our 200 voice “Anniversary Choir” on Sunday night.

Plan to enjoy reunions with old friends even as we make new ones.

Enjoy worship and laughter and food and prayer.

An anniversary like this one – this 200th – is meant to evoke both gratitude to the Lord for all that He has done and daring new dreams for how we can join in what He is doing today.

With gladness and with passion, let’s express our gratitude and let’s dare to dream.

Together.

But always and ever under the unfailing Lordship of Jesus!
