Winona Friends Church, located in Winona, Ohio, dedicated its new Family Life Center on Sunday, September 26. Recent flooding kept the outside from being finished on time, but the inside was great!
Dr. John Williams, Jr., General Superintendent for EFC-ER, shared in the special service. Before he spoke, Dr. John asked Pastor Steve and Marilee to join him on the platform where he thanked them for their leadership and gave them a new basketball, signed by Dr. John on behalf of EFC-ER.
Several of the contractors and their families were present and the congregation expressed their gratitude for a job well done. The Elders and the Building Committee were also recognized for all of their efforts in this building project.
Jason and Sarah Burton of Richmond, VA., a brother and sister musical duet called, "Following August," provided about 40 minutes of special music. Their ministry was deeply appreciated, and the folks of Winona Friends Church highly recommend them to other churches in Eastern Region and beyond.
The Dedication Service was followed by a hog roast dinner in the new gym where about 240 people were served.
