The guest speaker, Dr. Sam Kamaleson ,will be challenging the men with the theme, "God's Holy People," taken from the 1st Epistle of Peter.
Dr. Kamaleson has served as the Vice President for World Vision and preaches to full-capacity crowds around the world, including the first public large-scale evangelistic preaching mission in Bucharest, Romania after the country's liberation.
"It is an unprecedented honor to have such a world-recognized speaker for our retreat," explained George Zadigian, Men in Missions Retreat Director. "I first heard Dr. Kamaleson when he spoke at Yearly Meeting at the request of his good friend, Dr. Robert Hess. Dr. Kamaleson's stories have continued to influence my life and walk with Christ."
"Men- let me encourage you to take this opportunity to step away from the demands of maintaining a home - step away for a weekend where Christ can work in your life in a new way. We won't have this weekend, with this speaker ever again. Don't miss this opportunity."
General Superintendent, Dr. John P. Williams, Jr., will bring a special address for the men on Sunday morning. Praise and worship times for the weekend will be led by Denny Herris along with men from the Praise and Worship Team from Jackson Friends Church in Massillon, Ohio.
Men are encouraged to bring their sons for the weekend this year because the committee has worked hard to include something for every age! Special activities are planned for the elementary and junior high school ages.
Workshops for the weekend include: Short-Term Missions Opportunities (Frank Carter), Church Renewal and Growth (Geoff Schultz), What Wives Wish Their Husbands Knew (Carol Williams), and Christian Life as an Athlete.
Brochures will be available in your churches within the next two months. Be sure to get your reservation in early because an increase in attendance is expected!
